Position Fixing 定位  Three Group-Exhibitions at Guangzhou Opera House

Guangzhou Opera House is a Chinese opera house in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, People’s Republic of China.
Designed by Zaha Hadid, it opened in 2010.

The theatre has become the biggest performing centre in southern China and is one of the three biggest theaters in the nation alongside Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts and Shanghai’s Shanghai Grand Theatre

Western Artists

The exhibition is located in Arte Place SanXuanShi Museum which is inside the Opera House of Guangzhou.

Some of the installations and videos will be also displayed inside the projections rooms of the Opera House and also outdoor.

The exhibition is also supported by CJ CULTURE FOUNDATION (CJ Group) and PACORY ART ADVISORY

张羽-意念的形式

本次展览将展出张羽由空间、装置、影像、现成品、平面等综合形态组成的作品。

“指印”是张羽艺术行为的方式,而张羽的指印行为醉翁之意并不在于指印本身,他将传统水墨的材料扩展到丝绸、胶片、玻璃、泉水、指甲油等媒材。并将指印行为与影像、宣纸、丝绸、胶片、玻璃等进行混搭,用这些构成作品的媒材元素,将想表达的思想立体的、生动地呈现。这就使得作品超越了单纯的指印和印痕本身,也使“指印”成为他呈现思想的方法,并且强调对“方法”的研究及探寻。

指印的表达方法首先是对东方文化的思考和理解。张羽的指印装置作品始终强调某种仪式性,这种仪式性是由两个方面构成的:一个是不断重复的摁压动作造成了身体与媒介的直接触碰,完成了时间与过程存在的体验仪式性;一个是指印痕迹在空间中的呈现、与周边形成的整体性关系所带来的仪式性。这两个方面的仪式性都不是刻意设计,而是表达的“方法”使得整体作品与文化的修行概念、仪式浑然一体。但指印作品的仪式性依然不是艺术家表达的目的,他希望通过指印作品的仪式感呈现表达的核心所指——指印行为过程与精神性呈现,希望通过对仪式性的思考和认识,将意念转换为思想表达,以此进一步聚焦这个世界共同关注的“存在与时间”的问题,表达作为个体的人的生命本身所触碰到的经验、体验。
